How To Stain Wood Easily with Stain Wax

The Chippy Barn's Mahogany Stain Wax  is the easiest way to lightly stain wood or revitalize an aging finish. Our soft and easy-to-use formula feels nearly identical to our fan-favorite Specialty Wax yet imparts a warm and rich finish.

Check out how Karen from Sycamore + Pine used Mahogany Stain Wax in this look! She completely stripped this piece of its existing finish and then used Mahogany Stain Wax over the bare wood - staining and sealing in one step!

To finish, she painted the drawers in Modern Lace and sealed them in our clear Specialty Wax. Afterwards, this one went to be used in a nursery!

As for Specialty Wax, Karen says,

"It really brought the grain back to life and the color was so rich."

Other ways to apply

But you certainly don't have to strip your furniture pieces to use Mahogany Stain Wax. To update a faded and dull finish, simply buff in Mahogany Stain Wax right overtop! Its built-in staining power can revitalize the oldest of finishes. As simple as that!

One thing that you should keep in mind is that our Stain Wax will really stain! Make sure you're using an old cloth or a wax brush that you're ready to use exclusively for Stain Wax! We often recommend using a chip brush that can easily be thrown out afterwards.
